This infuser makes us all look like a pro- it has the ability to brew tea and stop the infusion process without having to remove the tea bag from the mug. Over-steeping, which causes bitterness, is no longer an issue. Once the plunger is pressed, the tea leaves are compressed into a solid chamber and away from the water.
This infuser is also stainless steel, which is naturally BPA free and doesn't impart different flavors. So enjoy a cold brew in the morning and a Rooibos tea in the evening without the transfer of taste.
Place a desired amount of loose-leaf tea in the Infuser basket. Add cream or sugar at this point if desired. Place the press assembly on top and twist into the locked position. Pour over with clean, filtered, almost-boiling water and let steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on the type of tea being used and strength preference. Press down the plunger.
Brewing cold brew or fruit infused water:
Carmen's can custom grind your coffee for cold brew. Add a few scoops of the coffee grounds (or fruit pieces) into the infuser basket. Pour clean filtered water into the mug, and let steep in the refrigerator overnight.
